The service includes a focus on story arc, setting, character, and some line editing, with comments on the piece as a whole, and critical thought on how it might be improved narratively. Depending on need, solutions can be suggested or William can simply respond to the story. Note this is not a copy edit (see above).
Standard rates are $0.008 per word (i.e. $800 for a 100,000-word novel). The turnaround time for a 100,000-word Science Fiction/Fantasy novel is approximately 1-2 month depending on his schedule.
William specializes in Science Fiction, Epic/High Fantasy, Science Fantasy and Space Opera, and Dystopian. Less preferred are Urban Fantasy and Grimdark. Other genres may incur additional fees (such as Historical Fiction and Romance).
